If you are reading through our blogs to get some insight as to how we hire, what is your interview going to be like, then ding ding ding, you've reached your destination. Read the below given pointers carefully, and by the end of it, you'll get your answers for sure.
Do you like a Bruschetta ? It is one of the most loved and simple appetizers. Even a simple dish such as that, needs just the right amount of ingredients, done just so, and voila you have a great dish to start your meal. Bear in mind that even a tiny overripe tomato could make it not so great after all. My point is, when such a simple thing needs the right amount of everything, imagine building something which is going to make the lives of users across the world, simple, yet astounding. That just cannot be achieved without the right set of minds in play.Let me walk you through the process of how we shop for our tomatoes, to make one kickass Bruschetta.
First, looking over the lot. When you apply to us, among the number of other aspiring tomatoes, make sure you have that extra shine to you so that you stand out among others. Why do you think we would be the best fit for you ? That would be your first and most important question. If you are clear about that, you've already got our attention, let us give you a call sometime.
We'd reach out to you, and just talk. Not "what is the definition of a dynamic polymorphism and how do you use it?". But "Hey there, how are you doing today ? Did you happen to read any of our blogs ?". Yes, its that simple (Mention this blog and you are golden). We want to know that you have applied to be a part of the family, not just to type in "Hello World!" programs and leave for the day.
In order to know that you'd satisfy the role we want you to play, we make you audition for it. Yes, it is exactly how it sounds. All great actors would have first auditioned for their part before getting into the role. This is just like that. Want to be a UI developer ? Show us what you can do with a few wireframes we give you. We do not expect you to have superpowers, but we do expect you to be a good sport. My word is, you'd love doing the audition. We make sure you are not bored of it. Yes, we care about you and do give a reasonable deadline, but if you beat the odds, ahem ahem, congratulations, we have our eyes on you. Let's have a chat over coffee, shall we ?
We'd call you in for a little chat to our humble office space. It is well known that a lot can happen over coffee, or chai maybe. If you are used to the whole 'first round technical interview and next is the HR round', please make sure you leave that behind at home. We do not work that way. We love getting to know you as a person, before all else. After all, we're going to need things to pull your legs with if and after you join us. We talk about various things, from what we expect out of you and more importantly, what you expect from working with us. If there is anything which will make hiring a success, it is making sure that the person loves what he/she does and they get what they came looking for.
We'll talk about a bunch of things from "where do you find inspiration from?" to "what is your pick, android or ios (Choose wisely before answering) ?", not to judge you, but to ease you in and make sure you feel comfortable among each other. Once the ice is broken, we put our best foot forward and give you the jist about what we are and what we do and how we do it. It is important for us to know you well, just as important as it is for you to know what you are getting into. We want you to like working with us more than anything, so we let out our best charmers to play. We do crack jokes now and then. Make sure you laugh, because we are watching you. It will be taken as a serious offense if you don't laugh at our jokes.
In the process, you'll notice how you've met almost all the people in the team, interacted with them, even had a cup of coffee or lunch with them. Please make sure you read our 'Pal Wall' for some gyaan from one of our elite. Anyone in our team would be happy to take you there upon request. Quote anything from that wall during our interview and extra points to gryffindor indeed. If offered chai or snacks, do not send it back, for our cook will not like it, and we want our cook to like you as well.
Okay, so everything works out for the best. What now ? We have a little talk among ourselves, weigh in the opinion of everyone who had interacted with you through all the stages, and come to a unanimous decision. We believe in a flat structure, so everyone's thoughts counts, even yours. Coming to an interview, it is safe to assume that you'd have a number in mind for the compensation. When it comes to that, we make sure we give it our best. At the end of the day, when we welcome you to our family, we want to see you happy in all aspects.
And there you have it, your interview is officially complete. All that is left is for you to take the first step forward to build the awesome.

Find your way bustling through rush hour traffic to our humble office space, nestled away in a quieter area, with a good two storey climb to warm you up for a happening day. The morning look inside Rbox is quite different than other times. You don't see people settling in their cosy little workspace prepared to code away all day.
There is the guy who is always there. He's there when you enter, he's there when you leave, but you know he is enjoying himself when you see the constant energy he's always got. There is this person who just cannot be in one place, waltzing around engaging people in his conversations, often getting people to laugh. There's the one fellow who is the topic of conversation for any hour, be it the morning, afternoon, or evening. People just can't get enough of him. Diverse environment, united by the common interest of making the awesome.
You settle in, get your laptop set up and catch up on things that went on while you were away, overseas updates and stuff, while sipping on a hot glass of chai, thanks to our round the clock chef who manages to constantly keep the whole lot well fed. After a quick stand up with your co-coders, you quickly start up your engines and get those pistons firing, going at a good pace from all the ideas which come from around you. Inspiration is something which is abundant when you look around. For once, you are not scared that you have a lot to learn. Instead, you look forward to it.
'Ask, and you shall be given' becomes an understatement when you see how helpful everybody around you is, making you long for the time you would get a chance to do the same to someone. Just holler and your team will be there to make sure you get what you need to go ahead with your ideas. Learning is something you get involuntarily in this surrounding. Not a day goes by without hearing something interesting or learning something cool.
You'll get a wind of nostalgia of your old school/college days when you gather around for lunch, indulging yourself in the amazing work of our chef Gusteau, chatting about daily events, eventually ending up in pulling each other's legs. Something is terribly wrong if you don't hear laughter every 5 minutes.
Working as one, you'll be given plenty of chances to contribute ideas, improvise or even enable ideas on others, with no effort at all. You'll feel surprised at yourself for not feeling the usual post-lunch drowsiness every working lad has. It just cannot happen when you are in the midst of such a lively workforce. Enough of that now right ?
What do we do for fun you ask ? Have you seen siblings play pranks on each other playfully ? Well, we kind of take it more seriously and NOT playing along is a punishable offense. Sports, for us is as important as solving critical production issues, so we constantly make sure we get to play as much as we work. Evenings you'll find our very own Chetan Anand and Aditya Joshi gearing up for a game of badmitton. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy remember ?
You feel satisfied with the productive day that is you've had, pack your bags and just as you leave, some interesting conversation or the other holds you down, until its really time to go if you want to beat that traffic. All said and done, when you look back at those people, making everything seem so simple, you just know that you are in the right place.
